Analyze network performance

Run a long-run monitor to analyze network performance. Sessions from the desktop app sync to your account and are summarised here — every sample, across every session, per network.

What these mean
DownloadHow fast your connection pulls data in for pages, streaming and downloads. ~25 Mbps carries a single 4K stream, so 100 Mbps runs ~4 at once.
UploadHow fast you send data out — video calls, photo backups, posting. ~4 Mbps covers 1 HD call, and 20 Mbps handles ~5 callers on the same line.
LatencyThe round-trip delay to the server (the “ping”), in milliseconds. Under 20 ms feels instant, 20–60 ms is fine for calls and gaming, and past ~150 ms video calls lag and fast games feel sluggish.
JitterHow much that delay wobbles from one probe to the next. Under 5 ms is smooth. Once it crosses ~30 ms you get choppy audio and rubber-banding in games, even when the raw speed is high.
Packet lossThe share of packets that never arrive, and a little already hurts. At 1–2% calls stutter and video buffers, and above ~5% you get dropped calls and unplayable games.
